On Wednesday, 21st June 2002, a celebration Mass marking the Silver Jubilee of Glenfin-born Fr. Eddie Gallagher's ordination to the priesthood was held in the church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin, before a large congregation.

The Mass was con-celebrated by Fr. Hugh Sweeney, PP Glenfin, Fr. Keiran McAteer, PP Stranorlar, Fr. John McGlynn (Letterbrick and Falcarragh) and Fr. Eddie Gallagher, PP Carrick.

Afterwards, the many friends and family of Fr. Eddie celebrated the occasion with a very enjoyable dance and buffet, held in Harkin's Lounge, Brockagh.

Fr Eddie is the eldest son of the late Eddie and Annie Gallagher, Ardlaghan, and is currently serving as the Parish Priest in Carrick..
