Sinn Féin Court

Was held in old school in Brockagh village before the Irish free State was established. Judges included Ned Arnold, Dr. Gormley and Paddy Neillin (Doherty of Comeen). Cunningham's of Brockagh was used as a jail. Court Clerk was Sergeant Fleming (late Kerrykeel). Dan McMenamin, B.L. and Willie T. McMenamin, solicitors, appeared in some of the cases. It is said that those involved accepted the verdicts dutifully.
