Hurricane 22/12/1894

Arnot and his workman went to bed. The wind was so high that they decided to get up and sit at the fire. The house was near the main Corlecky Road. Francy Quigley, the driver of the mailcar, was first on the scene in the morning. He found the two dead men lying on the hearth and the tree lying across them. The irony of it all was that if the two men had stayed in bed there would have been no loss of life.
